Custom components with user objects
- [Instructor] In this video, I'd like to talk about making your own custom components, sometimes also called user objects, as well as how to export and share them with other people. So in Rhino, I just have a blank file open and in Grasshopper, I'm working in the file 0040-user-component, and what I have here is a cluster that I've already made. So let's double-click and take a look at what this does. Actually, I can see just by hovering over it. I've put in the description that this rounds a value to the nearest increment, and this is actually a component that we'll use in a later chapter. So you can see here, pretty simple algorithm here. I'm taking in some values and we're basically just rounding that value to whatever the nearest rounding factor is and outputting a number. Okay, let's go back to the parent.
