Customizing unit and grid settings

- [Instructor] In this video, we'll take a look at customizing settings for units in the grid while working in Rhino for Mac. There are a couple places where preferences for Rhino are located in the menu system. Under the Rhinoceros menu, if we click Preferences, we'll find overall preferences that will be set for the program itself. So any of these settings here would apply to any file that we have open. That's not actually what we're going to look at in this video. So I'll close out of here. And let's go to File and click on Settings. So this is where we will find file specific settings. And these might be different from one file to another. And that's actually a good thing. So the first we'll look at is units. So click on the Units tab and you can see here we have two subsections, a model section and a layout section. And these are actually separate settings but they look identical.
