Cutting out the silhouette

- [Instructor] Now what we've created the blade and tip for our handle, let's go ahead and work on cutting out the forms of the silhouette. So the first thing I'm going to do is go to our marquee tool here. I'm going to go to our handle area here and we're going to draw a box that's only covering the bottom half. You can see that it marks it perfectly on the grid. As long as you have snapped the grid on. You want to make sure that you have the layer that has the handle selected, so I want to make sure it's on layer one, and what I want to do now is just delete the bottom selection. Go ahead and de-select it with ctrl + D. And the next step is to zoom in to the handle area. So just go to the magnifying glass and you should be able to just slide into there, then hold the spacebar and just drag it so you can see the silhouette in the middle of your screen.
