Defining form using profile curves

- We're now going to create our own chair inspired by our analysis of Frank Gehry's wiggle side chair. In our interpretation of Gehry's chair, we're going to be using his process of lamination but we're going to try a much more dynamic form. We're going to start out using the Loft tool to create a simple lounge chair. We are then going to create sections of the chair much like a topological map creates contours over irregular landscapes. We'll then take these sections and set them up for printing on a plotter. So if you wish, you could print the pieces out, lay them over cardboard, and start cutting, and gluing, and laminating. And with a little bit of effort and a whole bunch of cardboard, you can have a full-scale cardboard protoype of our design. So let's begin. Let's start out by opening up our Reference layer. This provides us with some ergonomically relevant information for which to work. We're going to use the Loft tool to create our form. And from this, we'll generate our…
