- [Instructor] Rhino for Mac has a great set of commands called Boolean operations. Which can do things like merge objects together, cut into objects, or find object intersections. And while some Boolean operations can work with curves or open surfaces, the one we'll look at in this video is specific to solids. And that's generally, where I find Booleans to be most useful. We've got the exercise file solidsboolean.3dm open. Here, we have a couple sets of solid objects. And we can see those in the layer menu. I have set one and set two. Set one is an array of these sort of hexagonal prism shapes. And these are all solid. And set two is sort of a free form box-like surface that's also solid. So let's go up to our solid menu. And let's take a look at the Boolean difference command. This command will basically use one set of solid objects to carve out from another set of solid objects.
