- [Olivia] The next thing I'd like to do is edit my units. Originally, to import this base Revit file, we changed our units to feet, which is a pretty large unit to use for our now scaled building. To do this, I'm going to type in units, hit enter, and change my model units from feet to inches. Using inches is a much more manageable unit to understand now that our model is scaled to one foot equals 1/4 inch. I'm also going to change the distance display from decimal to fractional, and I'm going to increase the precision to 1/64. So this will affect how the command line shows your measured distance. As a model builder, you have to constantly consider the real world dimensions of the components you're modeling. It's much easier to understand and visualize the size of something when we see the measurements displayed as fractions instead of a long string of decimals.
