Exploring Kangaroo basics
- [Instructor] The whole reason we'd want to use Kangaroo in one of our Grasshopper definitions is to help us simulate physical forces and interactions. And maybe we'd want to do something like test out a structural design for a building or for a mechanical part we're planning to fabricate. So, with that in mind, in this video we'll walk through some of the basic structures that we'll see when using Kangaroo version two. So, I've got a new blank Rhino file open, a new blank Grasshopper definition. I'm just going to jump under the Kangaroo tab here, and let's look under the Main menu. So here I'm looking for the solver component. Pretty much the heart of any Kangaroo definition is the solver component. And I can see there's a couple different variations here. I have BouncySolver, regular solver, StepSolver, and so on. Most of the time, you'll be using just the solver component. In this video, let's use the BouncySolver.
