Exporting 3D printing components

- [Olivia] Our final step in preparing for fabrication is exporting our 3D print files, which will be our columns. We're going to export these columns as an STL file. This is going to convert our geometry from a NURB model into a mesh model. Directly exporting this model into an STL file, though, will likely create overly complex geometry. Because of this, I like to convert my model into a mesh before exporting. To get started, I'm just going to turn off everything other than my 3D print layer. Next, I'm just going to select everything that I'd like to convert and type in mesh. Hit enter, and now I have the option of making my model more complex with more polygons or less complex with less polygons. In this case, 'cause we're dealing with so many flat surfaces, I think we can get away with using fewer polygons. So I'm happy with this. I'm going to click OK. All right, and now we have our mesh model. Now I'm just…
