Exporting laser cut files

- Let's talk about exporting your laser cut files. There are some laser cutters that can work directly within the file you drafted your line work, but most machines will require you to export your cutout lines into a different format. And we're going to focus on those types of machines. First, you'll notice that I've made two new layers a material outline layer and a bed outline layer. The bed outline layer represents the extent of my laser cutter bed, while the material outline represents the dimensions of the material that I have on hand. So here we're looking at the clapboard, and my clapboard comes in three inches by 24 inches. I like drafting out the extensive my material to make sure that I'm arranging each piece of line work to fit within that material. For this clapboard material, I want to make sure that I'm lining up all of my walls to be in line with how they were modeled. So that the parallel clapboard texture…
