Extruding curves to create solids without primitives

In this video, we'll explore a few common ways of creating solids without using the primitive commands. We'll focus on three commands I like to use. The extrusion, the surprisingly cool pipe, and the text command. A reminder regarding these other commands. Any combination of surfaces can make a valid solid. Your only requirement is that you follow the simple rule of creating a closed volume. Let's continue working with the jetpack and other features for our good friend, turtle boy. Go up to the perspective view port and maximize it by double-clicking the label. Come back around to the rear side. Now, if you notice the shading looks a little bit different, it's because I've converted it to rendered mode. I go back to normal shading. You'll see a lot of the extra ISO curves, so sometimes those can be distracting, so feel free to switch those off with rendered mode.
