Extruding the solid base

- [Instructor] In the last video we added to our musical instrument algorithm by making these extruded frets. In this video, I'd like to work on making a solid extrusion for the base of the instrument. So, where we left off, we needed to make that base extrusion step, and that's what we'll work on here. In Rhino, let's just switch to perspective for a second, and let's talk about our strategy. So what I'd like to take is the base profile, which is this outer, rounded rectangle. And I'd like to extrude that down into a solid object. I'd like to carve out holes for the through holes, and I'd also like to carve out some tracks that run along those fret track lines giving myself some shallow groves for those metal frets to sit inside of as we sandwich all the parts together. So I'll switch back to top, and, essentially, we can think of this as three different steps. First step, I'll extrude the base profile. Second step, I'll carve out those through holes.
