Filleting the edges
- [Voiceover] Let's take a look now at filleting the edges to our model. It's very important when you're modelling a piece of jewelry that you keep in mind that the piece has to have some sort of comfort the the edges. You cannot give a client a piece of jewelry that has very sharp edges. So you can always prepare that by giving it some sort of comfort ahead of time. So let's begin. We're gonna use the Fillet Edge command we're gonna type it in, we'll say Fillet Edge, again, pay attention to your radius. You can always apply it first to see if it's too small, too big or the other way around. So I'm gonna first start with a radius of .25 and see how that looks. You can use chain edges if you want to go all the way around especially if there's a break with the edge here. So I'm gonna turn on chain edges, we'll select this edge, see how it wrapped all the way around, then we'll hit Enter. You'll see we have some sort of comfort to our model.
