Filleting surfaces

- [Narrator] In this video, we'll take a look at the FilletEdge command, which lets us round over a sharp edge where two surfaces meet. To help us practice, I've got the exercise file surfaces-filet.3dm open. You can see here, we've got a part that's made up of multiple surfaces. So by definition, when we're filleting, we need at least two surfaces or a poly surface like we have here. We want to make sure that those surfaces meet right up against each other at an edge. And that there's no intersecting surfaces. So good step to take before we get to filleting is to select our surface or our poly surface and bring up the command called MergeAllFaces. I'm just going to type that into the command line. And I can see down here in the command line that I have merged no poly surface and the poly surface could not be merged any further. So that's great. That'll help make sure that I'm able to execute the Fillet command…
