- [Narrator] So our next steps are to design the floors of the model, which will be the structure we frame out our walls around. So let's look at our base model for reference, turn it on, and I only have my floor layers turned on in this case. It looks like we're dealing with two different floor types. We have our interior floors right here, and also our exterior porch floor. Now before I move any further, I want to take a few measurements, from the reference model to help us decide what are the best materials for us to use. So I'm going to select my interior floor and get out of perspective and move into a side view. And I'm going to use the command distance, hit Enter and snap from the top of my material to the bottom of my model. And it's giving me 7/16 of an inch. I don't have any material that's exactly that thickness, but stacking up to materials like 1/4 inch MDF on the bottom with 1/8 of an inch basswood on top,…
