- [Instructor] In this lesson we cover the topic that has driven many beginners to the edge of insanity. You might even say that is has driven me crazy trying to teach it. That topic is, of course, filleting. We're going to focus our attention on a very simple part so we can review some of the basics. Now I've made this little handy checklist, but let's zoom down below and check out the part we'll be working on here. Let's start off by talking about wall thickness. This needs to be uniform, which tells me that the radius here on the inside is different than the radius on the outside. And most people forget this, and so I'll show you a simple little mathematical formula so you'll never get it wrong. The next thing on our checklist is to look for what I call three-way edge intersections. So we've got two edges here but they cross this edge here.
