Importing a Revit file
- [Instructor] In this section, we'll learn best practices for importing and cleaning up a Revit file in Rhino. Revit is an industry standard for architectural construction documentation. So it's a pretty common file type that you'll come across as a model builder. Importing a Revit file into any other modeling program though, can be a little tricky coz has so much excess information that's not needed for a physical model builder. I'll show you how to clean that up, though, to make our design process later in the course as easy as possible. Now before we start importing, I just want to double check my units, you want to make sure that the units that your Revit file were built in are the same as the units of your Rhino file. So I know for instance that, my Revit file units are in feet. So I'm just going to double check this by typing in units command line, hit Enter and you can see our modeling units are in inches. So…
