Insetting a turtle smile

In this video we'll explore another surfacing technique and build inwards to give Turtle Boy a friendly, turtle smile. This technique is similar to the helmet but is used to build recess detail that needs to follow a complex surface. We're going to start off by working in the right side. It's probably best to be in Wire Frame Mode. I'm going to make a Control Point Curve, and zoom in just a little bit here. Probably, turn off the Osnaps because we're just going to be following Organic Curve here. Alright, we are very careful. I don't want to make this too sharp here. Let's zoom in and just double check this, turn the Control Points on with F10. And the reason is, I may want to run a Fillet around the edge to give them some nice turtle lips. Looks okay. We'll hit F11 to turn off. Now we're going to use the Curve from Object Toolbar again. We're going to use the Project Command. Select the smile I just drew. And pick the turtle boy's head, right-click, and we can see perspective goes…
