Intro to Ladybug plugin
- [Instructor] In the next few videos of this chapter, we'll be working with an open source Python plugin for Grasshopper called Ladybug. Ladybug works with climate data to allow engineers and architects to create environmentally-conscious designs. Ladybug also includes Honeybee, which connects to other open source climate and weather data modeling tools, and these sorts of plugins are what make working in Grasshopper so great. There are tons of options for extending the base of Grasshopper's core features to help us make models that are very sophisticated without too much extra work. So here, on the Ladybug site, we can download the plugin. We'll do that in the next video. We can also get links to the community forum, as well as the GitHub reference page, and those resources will be really helpful as we get started with Ladybug. So in the next chapter, we'll download and get it installed to work in Grasshopper.
