Introduction to windows and openings
- [Presenter] In this next video, we make some openings for framed widows or doors which are openings inside of a solid wall. This is in contrast to a larger window system like a storefront or curtain wall which we've covered previously in the course on site and envelope. Let's make our first hole manually. I'm gonna double-click on Perspective here to zoom in a bit. We got a curve already drawn and when I select this, you'll see it's got some extra stuff going on. I switch over to Wireframe just so we can check that out. You'll notice I've got a door and frame already in there and so this will give us an extra recess in and out going through this larger two-foot thick exterior wall. Okay, we're ready to start to extrude this. Go to Solid, Extrude Planar Curve, Straight. Except I wanna come over here and snap to some of the features here. Make sure your O Snap for End is on. See I want to make it match the height of this mullion. Try to make everything line up so it looks like I know…
