Lighting basics

- We've talked about some of the basic render settings in Rhino 5 for Mac, as well as how to activate renders and render previews. Now, let's talk about lighting. Here, we have our same scene with a few different objects and a backdrop surface. And when I'm rendering, I like to get my lighting sort of roughed out before I deal with adding materials to the objects. I know going into this that my lighting isn't going to be perfect. I'll still need to do some tweaks later on but this is going to get us in the ballpark and make those adjustments easier down the road when we have to balance out for darker or lighter materials that get applied to our objects. One thing I've done to make it a little bit easier for myself as I go through the rendering process is to add this named view which you see down here below Perspective and that's a really handy thing to do.
