Make a car tire and tread
- [Instructor] In this video we take our existing wheel and create a simple tire. Then we generate a not-so-simple tread pattern, and get it to flow around the tire surface. Let's take a look at this final result here. You'll notice the tire surface wraps around the side, tread area and the other side. However, you'll notice that the tread pattern is fairly well contained along this driving surface, and not the sidewalls. That'll be important a little bit later. Let's zoom down to the construction zone. I've got this existing wheel here and a curve already drawn. Note that we have this line here. We'll be using that for snapping. Let's go ahead and make a tire surface right now by a simple revolve. Going to select this curve, go surface, revolve. And we have to navigate around just to how I'm going to get to two points to define that axis. And we can speed this up just by saying full circle. We don't need to pick…
