Making new backgrounds

In this compositing part two video, we build on our knowledge of alpha channels and explore my personal technique for replacing backgrounds. This is a powerful process to save Photoshop-style layers of your rendering for further tweaking. And it's ridiculously easy to use. Before we render, let's double check two quick settings. We're going to make sure that any lights visible are set to be invisible. So we come down here. That is set. And then the top light is also visible here at the top of the view port. Let's make sure that is invisible as well. It is. The next thing we want to check is under the V-Ray Options. want to make sure we're capturing both RGB and Alpha. The way these are selected, they get a little bit of a highlight. So make sure you've clicked those both on. We'll need both channels for this to work. Go ahead and close that.
