- We've talked about the basics of rendering in Rhino 5 for Mac and we've walked through setting up three-point lighting. Now let's talk about adding materials to our objects. Here, we've got our scene with a handful of objects as well as this backdrop surface and the three lights from our lighting setup. I've actually worked ahead and already applied some materials to my objects which I can see here in the shaded views. And I've also done a render, just to give you an idea of where we're headed here. I'll go ahead and close the Render view. Let's backtrack to some objects with just the default white material and then work through together to the finished product. I'll go ahead and toggle off this Objects + Materials layer and toggle on the Objects layer. Let's just review what I've done so far.
