Modeling the fret track profiles
- [Instructor] We're making good progress working through Grasshopper, developing our definition of a parametric version of a musical instrument. And in this video, I'm going to tackle this mic/fret track step. I'm working in the rhino file, instrument-setup.3dm, and I've got the Grasshopper file open from the last video. So what I'd like to accomplish in this video is, just making some lines and those will act as the basis for some later boolean operations where we'll specify, basically like a little track for our frets to sit inside of. So what I'd like to make here is one line on this side, and one line on this side, centered vertically around the center of the base profile. And I'd like to have a slider so that I could adjust the spacing in between, so maybe I want them closer together or farther apart as I go through and customize my design. So let's come over to our first step, and I'll make a number slider for my fret spacing. I'll start with a lower limit of zero. And I'm…
