Offsetting curves

- Rhinos Offset command. Let's us make a copy of a curve so that all the points on the new curve are the same distance away from the original to help us practice with offset. I've got the exercise file curve-offset.3dm open. And here we can see some of these vessel profiles that we were using to practice drawing freeform curves in a different video. So I'm going to zoom in here on this center left one, and let's say I'm getting ready to prep a Rhino file with the goal of actually fabricating this out of material. Maybe I'll 3D printed I don't know yet. The point is I would need to give this wall some sort of the thickness. It can't just be a single surface like we could do in Rhino if we're only working virtually. So Offset is a perfect command for this instance. Let's go ahead and select our curve from the curve menu.
