Organizing a project using layers
- [Instructor] We now dig a little deeper into layers. Okay, if you've used 2D software, like Photoshop or Illustrator, good news. The layers work pretty much the same way, but in Rhino we get some nice additions. First, I want everyone to raise their hand and agree to the following. We will not work on the default layer, please. Okay, now that we got that out of the way, layers can be a powerful way to organize and keep things moving smoothly. In fact, I've got the layers always open in dock here to the right side. Now, there's a lot of stuff on here and some of it may not even be appearing on your screen. We've got the name of the layers. Right here it's hard to read, but that is the current layer and you can see there's a check mark. Beyond that, we've got layers which are turned off or on. We've got locking and color, those are the basics. However, if you're gonna do a lot of printing, there's some really handy stuff over here. We can assign materials on a layered basis…
