- [Instructor] Now we're ready to start modeling our components. Our primary fabrication method will be laser cutting, which means we'll model out all of our building block pieces as an assembly of flat cut sheets. The layers we create will hold all of those different materials. We'll basically follow the same steps to create each one of these components using our imported house as a reference. We'll either use a box extrusion or polyline outline to extrusion to build up each part. Let's get started with the walls, which will be the main structure of our scale model and one of the first pieces we will build in real life. I'm going to use eighth of an inch thick basswood as my laser cut material to build the main structure of my walls. So to get started, let's actually make sure that we're in that layer by double clicking here. Okay. And then I'm going to get into a side view. I'm going to get into my right view. And…
