Rebuilding surfaces

- [Narrator] In this video, we'll take a look at Rhino's rebuild command, as it applies to surfaces, and essentially what rebuild does is to reconstruct a selected surface with a specified degree and number of control points in a U and V directions. Lots of applications in Rhino where you will need to rebuild a surface. A couple simple examples are when a surface is either too complex or too simple, and we can see that right here in our exercise file, Surfaces Rebuild.3dm. So, on the left I have just a plane, you can see just looking at the iso curves, this does not have too many control points, and the degree is 1. So when we talk about the degree of a surface, that means several different things, but in this case, what it can control, is how much that surface can change, and how much difference curvature it can support.
