- [Architect] With our walls and windows modeled out, we can finally build out our roof. Let's first look at the base model. Like with most roofs, you're probably going to come across a roof ridge right here that meets two sides at a mitered edge. And this details is going to affect how we model this out and right now. Now let's check out what this should look like in real life. We're going to model out those roof pieces as flat extrusions, because that's how the laser cutters actually going to cut them out. But we're going to have to angle in those edges either with a table saw or sanding saw so that when we finally assemble the model, they'll fit together snugly at the sharp edge of the roof ridge. Looking back at our model, I also noticed that this base model is actually pretty plain. There's not a lot of interesting detail around this roof. So this might be one of those few exceptions where you user model builder…
