Splitting curves

- [Instructor] Rhino's Split command allows us to use an existing curve, point, or surface to split another curve into multiple segments. This is such a common operation in Rhino. It's useful for just about any application you might use the program for. So, to help us get a handle on Split, I've opened the exercise file, landscape-design.3dm, and what I'd like to look at here is this curved area that's butting up against the walkway here. And what I'd like to actually do is have this curved area extend over the walkway, so sort of overlap it a little bit, and to do that I just want to split this curve right at where it intersects with this vertical curve. So, let's go ahead and access the Split command. So, we can get to that from the Edit menu, go down here to Split. So I can see in the command prompt I'm being asked to select the objects I'd like to split, and in this case, it's this curve here. And I'll click Done or…
