Surface analysis

- Many times when we're working in Rhino 5 for Mac we'll need to measure certain properties of a surface object, like the direction, the curvature, or the continuity between two surfaces. Luckily, Rhino's got some great commands for pulling out this information and we can find those under the Analyze menu. So we've got a few that are specific to surfaces, as well as some general Analyze commands that work for surfaces, curves, of even surface edges. Here we have a few surfaces to practice analyzing with. The first analysis command we'll work with is the Direction command. So I'll go ahead and click to activate that. And I'm just going to go ahead and select these three sets of surfaces here and we'll look at the Direction on those. Click Done. Okay, and I can see Rhino's giving me all these arrows all over the place. So in Rhino surfaces have a specific front and a back, and so we can see which is which with this Direction command.
