System requirements and supported hardware
- [Instructor] Let's talk a little bit about what you'll need to run Rhino for Mac. Keep in mind, these are the most basic requirements for running Rhino, and more advanced workflows may need something different. Now, of course, the most basic requirement you need is an Apple that can be updated to MacOS X Mojave. And that could either be a laptop or a desktop. Now, ideally you'll want your computer running at least eight gigabytes of RAM. You'll need at least two gigabytes of free disc space to install Rhino for Mac. Of course you'll want extra for things like saving files. Additionally, a dedicated graphics processor like an AMD or an NVIDIA card can speed up your workflow quite a bit. If you don't have one, it's not the end of the world, but things may run a bit more slowly. Rhino 6 for Mac supports the MacOS Catalina, Mojave, and High Sierra operating systems. You'll also need an internet connection for download, installation, and license validation. And while not required, a three button mouse with a scroll wheel is highly recommended.
