Types of multicolor 3D printing

- [Instructor] If you have a printer that has multi or a full-color printing capabilities you need to prepare your print file in a very specific way. There are a few types of full-color 3D printers, each requiring different setups. So let's take a look at a few examples of different machines to gain some context for our file prep. One of the more common types of multicolor printing is with dual extruders. This is a fabrication method used with some FDM printers where the machine has two or more extruder heads each with different plastic filament colors. With this type of printing, you need separate solid STL file exports that will be assigned to each extruder head. The final color of each volume will depend on what you load into your machine.
