Using Rebuild and Change Degree

In this video, we'll build on our knowledge of curve and surface degrees by changing the degrees. As we covered, the simplest explanation degree is smoothness. And we always try to use degree three for best editing. Surfaces having two directions will require degrees three for both of those directions. Let's focus on curves, though. We're going to explore two new commands. One's called Rebuild, and the other one's called Change Degree. I'm going to zoom in on this degree one curve. Select it, F10 return the control points. So nothing unexpected there. Turn back off with the command. So I'm going to run this Change Degree command. This is under Edit>Change Degree, select the curve, right click. Now at the current line it says it is currently degree one, no surprise there and deformable equals no. We're going to have to change that to a yes. And type in degree three. So check it out.
