Using the snapping tools

- When we're placing objects in Rhino, the cursor can usually always move around freely in space but quite often, you'll want to place things in very specific locations. For example, we might want to set points exactly at the grid in our sections or on top of existing objects. Luckily, Rhino has a few sets of really handy snapping tools and those can help us draw objects very precisely. Let's go ahead and take a look at few of these sets of snapping tools. So, up above the view ports, we have the Grid Snap option. Then over in the left sidebar, we have the Object Snap or Osnap panel. And this is actually divided into two sections. We have Persistent object snaps and One shot object snaps. Right now, I have these all disabled. And we'll talk about the difference between the two in just a bit. For now though, let's take a simple example of making a grid of squares in the Top view port. Maybe this is something like a chessboard or a checkerboard that we're making. So, I'd like to start…
