- [Instructor] We now learn how to navigate the viewports via panning, zooming and rotating. You'll see how these simple maneuvers are actually very important to your workflow and amazingly, help you make better designs. The maneuvers are zoom, pan, and rotate in case you're not aware, a zoom is like a magnifying, making the scene larger. Pan is more of a side to side motion while rotate is mostly in 3D, spinning around vertical z-axis. So to zoom, we're gonna use the mouse, right mouse button and hold down the control key at the same time. To pan, same, right mouse button but the shift key. And to rotate, right mouse button again but both shift and control. Before we practice these mouse maneuvers let's look at some other ways we can get the same effects via the interface. Up on the top of the menu we have view and here is pan, zoom, and rotate along with some of the shortcuts we just talked about.
