What is Rhino for Mac?

- [Instructor] Rhinoceros 3D for Mac or Rhino for short is a great example of a hybrid 3D modeler. Hybrid modelers like rhino offer a mix of two different modeling styles in one package. On the one hand, we have surface modeling, which allows us to make very detailed, visually interesting, often organic 3D shapes and solid modeling, which is generally more precise centered towards things that will exist in real life. Rhino uses a combination of surfaces and solids to create models and it works quite well with both. It gives us a flexible approach to modeling that allows for a more intuitive workflow. Rhino is also great for many other things that come along with both surface and solid modeling tools, things like rendering, drafting, surface analysis, and physics simulation, for instance. Rhino is widely used and its architecture allows for third party plugins that extend its use to all sorts of other areas like CNC tool pathing, 3D printing, jewelry design, mold making, and many others.
