What to do if you do not have a laser cutter

- [Instructor] I know not everyone's going to have access to a laser cutter. I definitely didn't when I started model building. We'll discuss some workarounds though on how to best use a digital model, like this without a full shot. The technique I used at the beginning of my model building career, was printing out these puzzle pieces on paper and then cutting them out. We can then use those cutouts as stencils against our materials, so we can cut out the correct profile with an exacto knife. This method is a little more time consuming, but it can still render the same results. Here I have my clapboard line work within an eight and a half by 11 rectangle, represented our printout. We previously learned how important it was when laser cutting to layout our clapboard in line, to how it was modeled. But here we don't have to apply those same rules.
