Free software can be the most challenging type of software to learn. Fortunately, Rhino's one of the most focused and organized 3D software apps on the market. If you're still worried, here's a few tips that may shorten your learning curve and reduce your fears. First, it really helps a lot if you can visualize in 3D. Sketching is a big plus. Second, if you have skills in digital content creation, like with Photoshop or Illustrator, you're already familiar with the same kind of tools that Rhino uses. Third, 3D experience is recommended but it's not required. If you have used a 3D app before the process of learning Rhino will be very smooth. You'll use all the same conventions, with just slight variations on terminology. Now that we've covered how straight forward Rhino can be to learn, are there situations where Rhino's not a good match for you? Yes, if you have only used computers to check e-mail it's probably not a good idea to try to learn a 3D software first.
