Adding bridges to the body

- Unless you've got access to a really fancy CNC Device, it's likely that your mill is only capable of three axes of freedom. This means that the cutting head travels along a straight line in x, y, and z. This also presents a problem when it comes to undercuts, or any surface feature that we can't reach by plunging the cutting head straight down. To account for this, we'll prepare two versions of our model. One to cut from the front side, and one to cut from the back once the material is flipped over. In addition to the location and dimensions of the stock as a whole, we need to add elements that help the CNC understand where to cut, and, just as importantly, where not to. So to start out we're going to add in bridges. Now, with the traditional 2 1/2 axis cut, like a contour cut, you can add those bridges in automatically, but in this case we have to do them by hand.
