Install Linux on Windows
- [instructor] Now that we have the windows subsystem for Linux installed, we need to also install Linux on Windows. So, we're going to come down here to type to search and I'm going to just search for command prompt. I start typing and it pops up here, that's a little application will give me a command line in order to access windows. Instead of the graphical user interface, I can now type directly into it. And if we type the command bash, that's going to launch the bash shell that's in Linux. That pops up and tells us we have Windows subsystem for Linux, but no installed distributions. The distributions means a version of Linux. We can get those by visiting the Microsoft Store at this URL, or we also can go here to our start menu and scroll down till we find the Microsoft Store is one of our options and get to the Microsoft Store that way. Then inside there, let's start searching for Linux. And you'll see it pops up with…
