- [Yoann] Hello and welcome to this course on Buying on Ariba Discovery. I will be your instructor for all these lessons. My name is Yoann Bierling and let me introduce myself. I have been working as an international SAP consultant for more than 10 years on different SAP project, from implementations to SAP mergers, mostly for big players and world leaders in their industries. I have been working on different roles from data analyst to project manager in many industries, such as logistics in France, Ukraine, Poland, fragrances in Switzerland, Hungary, France, South Africa, Egypt, consumer goods in Switzerland, cosmetics in Germany, Greece, Sweden, Italy, France, United Kingdom, and fashion in Switzerland and Italy. During all these projects, I had the opportunity to work on many of the SAP modules, but also on some products that are related to SAP, such as Ariba, that we'll see later and everybody's covering (indistinct). I had also organized workshops and train project members from clients but also other consultants to help them skill up and apply the SAP best practices in their daily job and learn how to use the new processes that are coming with this SAP project implementations. Let's have a look at the course objectives. After this course, you will be able to understand the place of Ariba Discovery for buying in the sub ecosystem in general, and especially in the SAP Ariba system in particular. You will also be able to create your presence in the marketplace to be present as a buyer on Ariba Discovery and reach the world business network of Ariba Discovery. You will understand how you can find sellers, how you can find potential new business partners that will be able to fulfill your procurement needs and help you optimize your procurement processes and you will know how to show your buying needs to potential suppliers, how to show these catalog of suppliers what you want and need to buy and compare them together to find the best one. Probably better one than the ones you already have. The agenda for this course will be in five parts. First of all, we will quickly see an introduction to SAP Ariba and what is buying on Ariba Discovery without the limits and what is it? We will see hope to get listed on Ariba Discovery as a buyer, help to find potential sellers and new business partners, how to create a posting. We will see later in detail what is a posting, which is the basis of offerings from buyers point of view on Ariba Discovery. And we will finish this course with a system demonstration. Let's start now with the first lesson, SAP Ariba and buying on Ariba Discovery.
