- [Instructor] Now that we have seen what is buying on Ariba Discovery, how to get your company listed on the platform, how to find preferred sellers and start communicating with them, we will see how to create a posting and how to express your buying needs on Ariba Discovery. Creating a posting starts with, again, accessing the dashboard. From this dashboard, you will be able to select categories while you're posting, which kind of product or services are you looking for. Enter all the details of your posting. For when do you need the products or goods delivered, where, which the day is, what kind of sellers are you looking for? And you can directly preview and invite sellers, send them emails, saying, "I am interested in this. Maybe you want to check it and make me an offer." Starting with the dashboard, you can access your postings. And you can see here in my example, I have created two different ones. You have two types of posting. You have RFI and RFQ. Here, I have an RFI created. You can see here that it's called an RFI, and that it is set as for testing only. An RFI is a request for information. I have created a posting. So in this case, I am looking for article writer services. But I'm only looking for information. I am not looking for quotations. I'm not yet looking to buy. I am looking to create a potential partnership, but I don't have a specific need expressed yet. I'm only looking to communicate with suppliers and discuss some possibilities. And below I have a RFQ, a request for quotation. In this case, I am asking for a seller that will answer my request to make me a real offer or merge when which conditions and all these kinds of of details. Now, let's see how to create a posting. By pushing this button, I start by selecting the product and service category in which I want to create a posting. For example, in my case, I want to go to creator services, writing and translations, creative writing. And then only, I can select the category. For any posting, we have to go down these followers to find the categories that we want to use, and we can add them all. In my selection, which is not limited, but you need at least one category. It's of course, mandatory to find a category, what kind of product or service are you looking for? You have, again, all these different categories. The same as when you're looking for suppliers, the kind of suppliers or similar categories. For example, am I looking for chemicals, for cleaning supplies, construction materials, creative services, administration, all kinds of business. Again, there are 20,000 different product and service categories listed here. And probably most of them have suppliers that are able to provide this product or services. Once you have found the right product or service category, you can continue by entering the details, the days of your posting. So always a title that will appear first. And here, you can select the kind of posting it is. Is it an RFI, a request for information? In which case, you would check this box. This posting is for testing purposes. It is not meant to receive quotations. And by default, if you do not check it, you are creating an RFQ, a request for quotation. You are inviting sellers to make offers, procurement of sales. Then you can enter many details in your posting, such as your opportunity amount. Is it the range of a thousand, a million dollars? You leave contract length. For how long do you want to work with a supplier? It is mandatory to enter a deadline, by when, until when this posting will be open and suppliers can answer. After that, the posting will not be accepting any more answers from potential suppliers. You can also enter an award date, award date. If you already know the date on which you will take your final decision to let suppliers know. Enter a description. What are you looking for? What kind of contract. What kind of products, et cetera. You can always add attachments or add your own files. And you have much more criteria that we will see later in the system demonstration. Based on what you have entered before, the category you are looking for and the location, Ariba Discovery will directly offer you, in this case, 1,116 sellers are able to then offer the product I want in the location I want. So with one click, I can access this specific list of 1,116 sellers. Otherwise, I can access the list of saved sellers. So if I click on this button, I will access the one seller that I have saved as preferred seller. And I can invite him directly, or we can simply invite new sellers, which will take us to the whole catalog of sellers, the four million sellers. And use the usual criteria to filter and find the right seller for our need. If we click on the preview and invite sellers, so you see the selection of 1,116 sellers that match the requirements of my posting. And now, from all these sellers, actually I can invite them with one click to answer my posting. Here from overview, or if I click on the name of one seller, I will access its profile. And again, I can even refine these results from these 1,000 sellers that match the requirements of my posting. I can even refine and find for example, refine by products and services more in detail. But this time, on the seller's point of view and not on the buyer's point of view. Does ship to location. Where are they. The average rating. And your revenue, if they have certifications. And that's if, for example, where I can also refine to find suppliers from diversity or with a specific certification. (indistinct) All kind of criteria. After having invited a supplier, he actually gets an email just like this. So in that case, this supplier has been invited to a new business opportunity. The supplier gets this email saying that he has been invited to review an RFI. Again, a request for information, or an RFQ, request for quotation, a buying opportunity. And this seller, if he answers your buying request, he might get new business and enter in business with you, which is the limit of Ariba Discovery. Discovery is only to find a new business partners, but the conducting the exchange will be out of Discovery. Will be on the rest of the SAP Ariba platform. Now that we have seen how to get listed, find sellers, but also to create your posting and send it to sellers, it is time for a system demonstration.
