- [Instructor] Using the exercise files for this particular course is extremely straightforward. Download the exercise files from the library, for the course, and put them in a known location where you know where you can find them. It may be on the hard drive of your laptop or your PC. Perhaps in a server folder somewhere if you're downloading the files at work, perhaps. The following file types are used in Solibri, and what I will do is make sure that you know which file type to use at any given time. So there are Solibri files, which are SMC files. And you've also got the IFC format, Industry Foundation Classes files. These are used all over the BIM workflow, and should be familiar to you already if you're working in building information modeling. And what I'll do is tell you which file type to use in each chapter and video. So you shouldn't be stuck as to which file to use, which file type to use, et cetera. Just make sure you download the exercise files from the library so that you've got them for use with this particular course.
