Activating SOLIDWORKS Utilities

- By default, when you install SolidWorks onto your workstation or your PC, SolidWorks Utilities is not turned on. You have to go up to the add-ins menu and turn it on. We do this by going to the dropdown right here, next to options, not the options button but the small dropdown, and go to add-ins. Down on the list here we see SolidWorks Utilities, now if you want to make it active in the current section, you turn on the checkbox here. If you want to make sure that it's active every time you start up, you'll turn on the checkbox here and that's the same for all the other add-ins that you find here related to SolidWorks Standard, Professional, and Premium. When you're done, you go ahead and click OK. Now when we start a new part, we can see that in the evaluate area we do have some of the tools used by Utilities and also, if we go to tools, we see compare, find, modify, Design Checker, and Format Painter, some of the other SolidWorks Utilities so we know that we have it active right now.
