Add button and joystick pads - SOLIDWORKS Tutorial
From the course: SOLIDWORKS: Designing for Consumer Electronics
Add button and joystick pads
- [Instructor] Now that we've got the main shape of the controller, we're going to add some more details. Some button and joystick pads. Let's do the button pads first. So start a sketch on the top plane, and go to a normal two view. So we're looking down on the top of the controller. We're going to draw a button pad somewhere around here using this circle tool. Go to the sketch tab and select the circle tool. And then draw a circle roughly here. And I'm going to make mine 48 millimeters diameter, and 75 from the origin. And then I'm going to line it up horizontally with the origin. Just by adding a horizontal relation there. You can see that sketch has turned black because it's fully defined. Remember if you adjusted the size of your controller in the previous video, you might have to adjust these numbers a little bit just so you've got a circle in roughly this position. There's no right or wrong dimensions at this stage.…
