Add an emboss to a sheet metal part - SOLIDWORKS Tutorial
From the course: SOLIDWORKS: Managing the Design Library
Add an emboss to a sheet metal part
- [Instructor] So we added an emboss to this part. Let's do some more things just so you can see how to add forming tools to sheet metal parts. So I'm going to create an edge flange, okay. I've got a louvre here, so I'm going to drag and drop it onto that face. And notice if you accidentally pick the wrong side, you can switch it over, okay. It's giving you a preview so you can see. Remember, you can rotate it if you want to, and you can add a position. There's my louvre. It's placed, then I can even pattern my forming tools once they're placed. So you can see, having the use of forming tools and being able to create your own forming tools and add them to your design library really expands your ability to work in sheet metal. And what's coming up next? Creating hole patterns.
