Adding a backplate
- [Instructor] A backplate is another option for your rendering. Now we have studio scenes here already set up and those scenes are full 3D environments that you can move around, your molly can spin, your molly can move the environment around, and you're going to get different lights and different looks depending on that scene. Now a backplate is just basically a picture you're going to put behind your model. Let's go ahead and take a look how we do that. Over here under file libraries, you can see under environments we have a bunch of options here, but we also have these things called plates, and here are a bunch of different plates, and these are, again, just basic pictures. Grab one of those, bring it into your model, and it's going to, again, just drop that directly behind your model. If you spin your model around, notice the background does not change, right? The environment is controlling the lights, and then this is just a picture, basically, behind the scenes of your model…
