Adding model views to a drawing

- [Instructor] In this movie, we are going to be looking at adding model views to a drawing. So to get started, let's go ahead and start a brand new drawing based upon this part right here. And the best way to do that is under file, make drawing from part. I'm going to go ahead and use the template from the linked in drawing template. But any template you have is fine. It doesn't really matter. Click on OK. Now over here on the right hand side, notice we've got a whole bunch different views and we can drag and drop those in. So make sure you kind of choose something that makes the most sense. In this case here, I think top view would probably make a lot of sense. So go ahead and just drag that in. And now we got that first view. Now sometimes, SolidWorks will automatically turn on the projection tool. And if that's the case, anywhere you want to click, you can add a projection. Notice as you click, automatically adds this projection here but it allows you to move around your model for…
