- [Instructor] There's a handful of advanced sketch tools that I want to show and point out to you in Solidworks 2017. Let's go ahead and take a look up here under the line command. We've always had the regular line and we've always had the center line but we also have this midpoint line now, which is pretty cool. Click on that, click on where you want to start a line from, and then just drag it out. And notice it drags out in both directions. This is pretty handy. A lot of times I design things and I need to start from the midpoint. So that's a nice, timesaving new line feature. Down here, these are all pretty much the same as far as a corner rectangle, center rectangle, parallelogram, but I want to point out just how to use them. If you want to do a parallelogram, you click where you want to start, you click where the other edge of that line is, and then kind of adjust the angle where you want it to be.
